Future For Nature Award 2009:
148 Candidates, 12 Nominations
For the 2009 Future for Nature Award, we received 148 Future for Nature Award applications from 56 different countries. The Board of the Future for Nature Foundation and the acting chairman of the international Selection Committee selected 12 nominations for the 2009 Award:

Out of these twelve nominations the international Selection Committee will select the three winners, over the coming months. These will be proposed to the Board of the Future for Nature Foundation for formal approval. The Future for Nature Award winners will receive their prize in March, 2009, at the Burgers Zoo, in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
Future For Nature Award 2008:
68 Candidates, 10 Nominations
For the 2008 Future for Nature Award, we received 68 Future for Nature Award applications from 40 different countries. The Board of the Future for Nature Foundation and the acting chairman of the international Selection Committee selected 10 nominations for the 2008 Award.

Out of these ten nominees, the international Selection Committee have selected three winners for the Award and proposed these to the Board of the Future for Nature Foundation for formal approval. The Future for Nature Award winners have received their prize on March 14, 2008 (see Award Winners).
