Application and Selection Process
Application Process
The Future for Nature Award 2009 has been closed for applications! Over 150 applicants from 56 countries applied for this year's award. A call for applications for the 2010 Award will be launched in 2009.
There are two ways to present candidates:
- Candidates can apply themselves for nomination using the online application form.
- Also third parties may propose a candidate for nomination using the same online application form.
Selection Process
Nomination. The Board of the Future for Nature Foundation and the Chair of the independent Future for Nature Award Selection Committee will review the applications and select twelve nominees for the Award. These nominees will be requested to provide further evidence on performance and on projects.
Selection of Award winners. The Selection Committee will review this further evidence and proposes three winners to the Board of the Future for Nature Foundation. The Board then will decide upon and announce the winners. The Board will also contact the winners in order to prepare for the Future for Nature Conference, in the spring of 2009, at Burgers Zoo, Arnhem, the Netherlands.
